Update Regarding Smart Meters

The Smart Meter Replacement Program is ongoing!

You should notice service trucks in the area and door tags after the replacement.  The meters arrived this past summer, and we have already installed 942 meters, with 1,260 remaining.  We anticipate the meter installation being completed by July 2026.  After that, we will begin our information campaign to discuss features and different uses.

Amenity Lake Rehabilitation (completed)

The scope of the project included excavation, recompaction, amendments to improve soil quality, regrading, and Bermuda sod installation of selected areas of the side slopes, and overseeding and fertilization of side slopes of the five (5) amenity lakes in the interior of Lakes of Bella Terra and the three (3) lakes in Lakes of Bella Terra West.

Update Regarding Smart Meters

The survey results for installation of smart meters are in!

179 residents completed the smart meter survey. 153 residents voted in favor of installing, and 26 voted against installing.

Based on the overwhelming support in favor of smart meters, the Board of Directors of Fort Bend County MUD 133 (the “Board”) has decided to move forward with the installation of smart meters. The Board anticipates that it will take 6-8 months before all meters are replaced. All work should be inside your meter box and additional excavation should not occur unless there are unforeseen problems. Instructions on how to take advantage of all the capabilities will be provided after your meter is installed.

Law Enforcement – Constable Patrols

In order to provide a safer and more secure environment for our community, Fort Bend County Municipal Utility District No. 133 (the “District”) has entered into an interlocal agreement with Fort Bend County. This collaboration allows the District to leverage additional law enforcement resources beyond those typically available, ensuring that our residents benefit from increased safety measures tailored to the needs of our area.

The term of the agreement begins October 1, 2025 and expires September 30, 2026. Estimated cost to the District for providing three deputies is $435, 070. Other pertinent details related to the agreement are located within the attached document.
