With tax season coming out, the Precinct 4 Constables Office would like to remind you to please pay closer attention to your surroundings, as bank jugging will probably be on the rise. Typically the person withdrawing money is followed until an opportune time is available to steal the cash. Crime prevention tips:
Another crime that has been popular and on the rise is scamming. What is a scam? A scam is any means someone uses to get you to part with your money. They play on our emotions or promise big payoffs to get us to act. Scammers also pose as people, agencies, and companies you know and trust. Scams can occur over the telephone, though the mail, over the internet, or in person. Crime prevention tips:
If you have any questions, concerns, complaints, or compliments to the Constables Office Precinct 4, please reach out to the Precinct 4 Constables Office, Constable Patrick Quincy at 281-341-4536.

The survey results for installation of smart meters are in!
179 residents completed the smart meter survey. 153 residents voted in favor of installing, and 26 voted against installing.
Based on the overwhelming support in favor of smart meters, the Board of Directors of Fort Bend County MUD 133 (the “Board”) has decided to move forward with the installation of smart meters. The Board anticipates that it will take 6-8 months before all meters are replaced. All work should be inside your meter box and additional excavation should not occur unless there are unforeseen problems. Instructions on how to take advantage of all the capabilities will be provided after your meter is installed.
In order to provide a safer and more secure environment for our community, Fort Bend County Municipal Utility District No. 133 (the “District”) has entered into an interlocal agreement with Fort Bend County. This collaboration allows the District to leverage additional law enforcement resources beyond those typically available, ensuring that our residents benefit from increased safety measures tailored to the needs of our area.
The term of the agreement begins October 1, 2024, and expires September 30, 2025. Estimated costs to the district for providing three deputies are $403,870. Other pertinent details related to the agreement are located within the attached document.
